Rag Doll: Chasing Waves and Dreams
Growing up in Humboldt County, my best friend, Ty Franklin, and I were no strangers to the call of the waves and the towering Redwood trees. The Pacific Ocean has been our playground for as long as we can remember, and surfing has always been more than just a pastime; it’s a part of who we are. That's how Rag Doll was born—a surf leash company built from our love for the ocean and our desire to make a difference in our community.
When we started Rag Doll, we knew we wanted to create a product that wasn’t just functional but would embody the spirit of California surf culture. Our surf leashes are a testament to that goal. They’re durable, built to last, and designed with surfers in mind. Rag Doll leashes are made from high-quality materials and provide the kind of durability you’d expect from a company that knows the waves.
Now, Ty and I are taking Rag Doll on the road. Next month, we’re packing up our gear and heading out on a road trip down the coast of California, starting in santa monica and heading up to humboldt, to share our passion and our product with surf shops along the way. We’ve mapped out each store we want to visit, and we’re ready to hit the road, bringing Rag Doll leashes directly to the people who know the ocean like we do.
We’re not just selling leashes; we’re sharing a story—a story about two college kids who turned their love for the waves into a way to give back. Every Rag Doll leash helps us donate 20% of profits to support California’s homeless population, an issue that hits close to home for us. We want Rag Doll to be more than just a brand; we want it to make a positive impact.
This road trip is the next step in that journey, and we’re excited to see where it takes us. Whether you're a shop owner looking to stock a product that’s as passionate about the ocean as we are, or a fellow surfer looking for gear you can rely on, we hope you’ll join us for the ride. Stay tuned as we bring Rag Doll to surf shops up and down the coast, one wave at a time.
